Summer N. Boyd is the founder and sole practitioner of the Law Office of Summer Boyd in Jacksonville, Florida. She specializes in all aspects of family law, helping clients protect the most important parts of their lives during challenging times. Her practice includes divorce, child support, domestic violence injunctions, paternity, adoption, and dependency cases. She also prepares wills to help families plan for the future. Summer is recognized for her strong advocacy in the courtroom as well as her skill in crafting clear, persuasive legal submissions.

With nearly 15 years of experience, Summer has successfully handled hundreds of family law cases.

Summer graduated from the University of Florida College of Law in 2000, finishing in the top 15% of her class. After law school, she worked as a litigator in Orlando for three years, managing civil cases in both federal and state courts, including contract disputes, family law matters, and copyright infringement claims. She also advised corporate clients on international franchise agreements, business planning, and day-to-day operations.

She later returned to her hometown of Jacksonville to serve as a Children’s Legal Services attorney with the Department of Children and Families (DCF). Over the next decade, she expanded her public service career, investigating and litigating civil economic crimes for the Attorney General’s Office, representing parents in child welfare cases, and serving as a Supervising Attorney for DCF. Her extensive knowledge of child welfare, along with strong relationships with state employees and child welfare experts, gives her unique insight into cases involving children.

A proud Jacksonville native, Summer has only left the city for her studies in Gainesville and her early years practicing in Orlando. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children.
