Summer N. Boyd

 

Summer N. Boyd is a sole practitioner in her own firm, the Law Office of Summer Boyd, in Jacksonville, Florida.  Summer specializes in all aspects of family law, helping people when they need it most, to protect the most important parts of her client’s lives.  Summer focuses her practice on divorces, child support, domestic violence injunctions, paternity, adoptions and dependency cases.  Summer also prepares wills for her clients to protect the families after her client’s passing.  Summer’s best qualities as a lawyer include her ability to succeed in the courtroom as well as in well-written, polished submissions to the court.

Summer has handled countless family law cases in her almost 15 year career as an attorney. 

 

Summer graduated from the University of Florida College of Law in 2000 in the top 15% of her class.  She worked as a litigator in Orlando for 3 years after she completed law school.  In Orlando, Summer handled many civil matters in federal and state court, including contract disputes, marriage and custody matters and copyright infringement.  Summer advised her corporate clients on international franchise agreements, creating business plans and day to day operations.  Summer then returned to her home town of Jacksonville to begin work for the Department of Children and Families as a Children’s Legal Services attorney.  For the next ten years, Summer devoted her career to the people of Florida, including investigating and litigating civil economic crimes cases for the Attorney General, representing parents whose children had been removed from their care by DCF and as a Supervising Attorney for DCF.  Summer has an extensive knowledge that helps her in every aspect of cases involving children, including relationships with many state employees and child welfare experts that help in handling cases for her clients.

 

Summer believes the legal system should be accessible to everyone and prides herself on offering quality representation at an affordable cost.  Summer works on a flat fee billing system so her clients are free to contact her when they need her, without worrying about running up the bill.

 

Summer is a Jacksonville native, leaving only for college and law school in Gainesville at the University of Florida and to litigate in Orlando for three years.  Summer enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children.
